Alberta Chicken for the Alberta Food Fight Against Diabetes

When it comes to finding food to help prevent and manage diabetes, this bird is the word. The protein in chicken lends itself to muscle growth and development, and may help support a healthy body weight and aid weight loss.

In Alberta, chicken producers are committed to the care of their birds and to providing consumers with safe, high-quality chicken. Canada has some of the highest food safety standards in the world.

The Alberta Chicken Producers (ACP) is a farmer-run organization representing over two hundred and fifty family owned and operated farms, built on family values in Alberta. ACP’s vision is “by working together, Alberta’s chicken industry is growing, creating shared value and satisfying consumers by providing safe, high-quality chicken products.”
