    Greg Boone is a CPA and EY senior tax partner with 25+ years of experience and extensive non-profit board service. Living with type 2 diabetes, he brings a personal connection to the ADF board alongside his finance background.

  • Tom Sutton | Board Secretary

    Joining the ADF Board in 2024, Tom Sutton brings valuable lived experience as a type 1 diabetic diagnosed in 1998. He serves as Strathcona County’s Director of RCMP Services and Municipal Enforcement, bringing executive public sector experience and an MBA to the role.

  • Nitin Bhatia | Director

    Edmonton lawyer and KC Nitin joined the ADF board in 2024, driven by family history. Active in the community, he supports research, sits on the Audit & Finance Sub-Committee, and helps plan the Hummingbird Gala.

  • Mark Dickson | Director

    Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes several years ago, he serves on the Alberta Diabetes Foundation board to give back. He supports its vital work funding innovative research and dedicated scientists advancing toward a global cure and healthier lives worldwide.

    Living with type 1 diabetes for 35 years, Celine brings her personal connection and marketing expertise to support ADF’s vision of finding a cure.

    Having lived alongside type 1 and type 2 diabetes, Kathy values Alberta Diabetes Foundation’s work advancing research and community access to care.

    Russ is passionate about drawing on his lived experience to advocate for people living with diabetes through ADF, advancing research and inspiring progress.

    Yang is proud to leverage his professional background with a personal commitment to help the ADF create real, lasting change for families.

  • Dr. Ray Rajotte | Director Emeritus

    Dr. Ray Rajotte is a world-renowned researcher who founded the University of Alberta’s Islet Transplantation Group. He led Canada’s first clinical islet transplant in 1989, helping pioneer the famous Edmonton Protocol.
