DIABETES ISN'T ALL THAT SERIOUS – DEAD WRONG

Diabetes is a major cause of heart disease, stroke and blindness, and those are only a few of the most common complications. Every ten seconds, someone dies of diabetes-related illness — three million a year, more than breast cancer and HIV/AIDS combined.
But we’ve come a long way since Banting and Best. A breakthrough cure in the foreseeable future is a distinct possibility and your donation will help us get there faster.
PEOPLE THINK INSULIN IS A CURE – THEY’RE WRONG

At best, insulin is a band-aid solution. Missing an injection, or losing track and administering an extra one, could very well kill you. Then again, so could the wrong food or drink, or anything less than all-out, 24/7 vigilance.
But we’ve come a long way since Banting and Best. A breakthrough cure in the foreseeable future is a distinct possibility and your donation will help us get there faster.
Only the Old and Young get diabetes – Seriously wrong

Type 1 diabetes, the more severe form of the disease, can happen at any age. Type 2, the most common form, usually occurs in people who are over 45. It is, however, appearing earlier and earlier. Children as young as five have been diagnosed. It’s also appearing more and more often. Right now, one in ten adults have diabetes. By 2050, it’s projected to be one in three.*But we’ve come a long way since Banting and Best. A breakthrough cure in the foreseeable future is a distinct possibility and your donation will help us get
there faster.
ACTIVE PEOPLE DON’T GET DIABETES –SO VERY WRONG.

Diabetes doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone, of any age at any time, even people who eat healthy foods and get regular exercise. But we’ve come a long way since Banting and Best. A breakthrough cure in the foreseeable future is a distinct possibility and your donation will help us get there faster.
